Here’s my project for the day: my first attempt at a zippered pouch. I purchased a zipper from Spotlight, and followed a very easy online video tutorial by soreribsin.  I painted the ballerina design after I had sewed up the bag. I used natural calico cloth because I like the grain and imperfection of the surface. 

This little zippered pouch can carry anything: from a few bills and coins, cards, keys and even lipgloss if you’re just stepping out for a short while. No need to lug your big bag and the kitchen sink :)
